Golf Tournament & Scholarships
GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER
The Lago Mar Civic League is hosting its 8th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament May 21st, 2010. Proceeds from the tournament support the Lago Mar Civic League’s Scholarship Program. A barbeque dinner will be available following the tournament. Non-golfers may attend the dinner for a small fee. Scholarship winners will be announced following the tournament.
Residents unable to participate are encouraged to be a sponsor or make a donation in order to provide as many scholarships as possible. This is a great opportunity for Lago Mar business owners to do a little advertising by sponsoring a hole or providing items for the golfers’ tournament bags.

Note: The Scholarship Golf Tournament is completely self-funded. No civic league dues go towards the event.

SCHOLARSHIP
Attention: All Graduating High School Students and Parents
Students graduating from High School in 2010 whose parents are current Lago Mar Civic League members as of December 31, 2009, are eligible to apply for this year’s scholarship award. Last year five lucky students were the fortunate recipients of an $800 scholarship. The ability to award multiple scholarships and the value of those scholarships is completely dependent on the success of our golf tournament, scheduled to be held in May, and the generosity of our sponsors.
Scholarship applications are available for download. Click on the link under the tab labeled Lago Mar Scholarship and Golf Tournament. Applications will also be available through your school’s guidance counselor’s office in January. Carefully read the application and follow each of the requirements. Incomplete applications will be omitted from the selection process.
